Laura has been a part of the Digital Scrapboooking Community since its online beginnings.

Her work has been published in Digital Scrapbooking, Simple Scrapbooks, and Creating Keepsakes magazines as well as Autumn Leaves' Designing with Digital book and Memory Makers books and magazines. She has also been a part of the Scrapbook-Bytes design team and sells album designs at Cottage-Arts.net.

Laura enjoys spending time creating memories with her family and her camera always goes with. Laura has been married to her best friend, Tyler Vanderbeek, for over 10 years and together they are the parents of two children. They enjoy sledding, camping, school field trips, hiking, and landscaping the half-acre around their new home. In addition, Laura loves swimming, gardening, crochet, and painting murals.

Not long after Laura and Tyler were married, they found out that they enjoyed working and photographing together. A few months after the creation of their photography studio, Vanderbeek Images, Laura spoke these fateful words, “If you buy me a Wacom Tablet, I’ll do all of the retouching.” During the last 8 years she has edited tens of thousands of photos and designed hundreds of wedding albums and scrapbooks for her clients and her family.

With two busy children, Laura understands that some of the best photos are not even planned. She knows that sometimes the effort it takes to get your family to a studio can ruin the mood. She knows from experience that with a little bit of digital retouching you can create something stunning and quite memorable from a seemingly ordinary photograph.
